Safety Cabinets
Choosing The Right Safety Cabinets
Familiarity with the classes of flammable or combustible liquids you need to store and use is essential to your selectionof the proper storage cabinets. Based on flashpoint characteristics, OSHA has divided liquids into classes shown in 29 CFR 1910.106 (a) (18). While acids and corrosive chemicals are not specifically identified, special cabinets are also available for these potentially hazardous liquids.
Before choosing any safety cabinet, be sure to take into account all Federal, State and Local regulations concerning the storage of flammable liquids, combustibles, acids and corrosives. While all flammable liquid storage cabinets must meet specifications of the NFPA Code 30 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106, some municipalities also require self-closing doors as specified in the Uniform Fire Code 79.202.
All Lyon safety cabinets are designed and built to meet or exceed requirements for compliance with OSHA regulations and NFPA Code 30 standards and are backed by the Lyon Lifetime Product Warranty.
